Ricardo Perez-Castillo
Ricardo Pérez-Castillo holds the Ph.D. degree in Computer Science from the University of Castilla-La Mancha (Spain). He is associate professor at the IT & Social Sciences School of Talavera at University of Castilla-La Mancha. He is also a senior researcher at Information Technology & Systems Institute (ITSI). His research interests include quantum software development, architecture-driven modernization, model-driven development and business process archaeology. Currently, he is member of the aQuantum scientific research team where he works on the migration of classical systems to quantum architectures and quantum software reengineering.
Organising experience: Ricardo was one of the organizers of the first four editions of this workshop (2020, 2021, 2023, and 2024). Additionally, he served as the local organizing chair of QANSWER 2020 (Workshop on Quantum Software Engineering & Programming, http://www.qanswer.site/) and QUATIC 2019 and 2022 (15th International Conference on the Quality of Information and Communications Technology, http://2022.quatic.org/). He was also the general chair of the 1st International Workshop on Software Evolution and Modernization (SEM Workshop), held as part of ENASE 2013, and participated as an organizer in other international conferences, such as EASE 2012. Beyond his organizational roles, Ricardo is actively involved in the program committees of multiple international conferences.
Enrique Moguel
Enrique Mogel is an Associate Professor at the University of Extremadura, Spain. He completed his MSc in Computer Science at the University Carlos III (Spain) in 2010 and a PhD in Computer Science at the University of Extremadura in 2018. His research interests include Web Engineering, Smart Systems, and Quantum Software Engineering.
Organising experience: Enrique has participated in the program committee of numerous international conferences and workshops in his research areas. He has experience organizing several international workshops in the field of gerontechnology (http://4ieplus.spilab.es/). He has also experience in organizing quantum software engineering courses in different Spanish and international universities.
Tommi Mikkonen
Tommi Mikkonen is currently a Full Professor of Software Engineering at the University of Jyväskylä, Finland. His research interests include quantum computing, software engineering, and AI enhanced software design. He has been a PI for several quantum computing related research projects, with total budget exceeding 2Me. Furthermore, he has played a pivotal role at establishing a quantum information and computation research group at University of Jyväskylä, a member of the Finnish Quantum Flagship initiative.
Organizing experience. Tommi has participated in numerous program committees in international conferences and workshops. He has also played several kinds of chair roles, such as General Chair of OSS’12, General Chair of WICSA’12 Doctoral Symposium, Track Chair for ICWE’16 Vision and Short Paper track, Organiser of Liquid Workshop at ICWE years 2016, 2017 and 2019, Tutorial Chair at ICSR’16, Conference Chair for PROFES’16, Program Chair of ICWE’18, General Chair of ICWE’20, General Chair of PROFES’22, Industry Track Chair of ESEM’22, Workshop Chair of ICWE’23, Doctoral Symposium co-Chair of PROFES’23, Industry Track co-Chair of ECSA’24, and Workshop co-Chair of ECSA’25.
Samuel Sepúlveda
Samuel Sepúlveda holds a Ph.D. in Applied Informatics from the University of Alicante, Spain, and is currently an Associate Professor at the University of La Frontera, Temuco, Chile. His research interests include software engineering, variability modeling in software product lines, requirements engineering, and, more recently, quantum software engineering.
Organising experience: Samuel has been involved in the organization of several conferences and workshops. He was a member of the organizing committee for the Encuentros de Informática y Gestión (EIG 2008 and EIG 2009), Optima 2011, and the International Conference CIbSE 2014. In 2024, he participated as a member of the organizing committee of the Chilean Conference on Computing (JCC 2024). Additionally, he is an active member of the IPAISC network and is currently serving on the program committee of the Argentine Symposium on Quantum Computing (2025). Beyond his organizational roles, Samuel is actively involved in the program committees of multiple national and international conferences.
